Leisure Centre
Opened to the public in July 2007 this £7.8m state of the art centre rivals some of the best in Central Scotland. Set in Woodhead Park, it has helped to regenerate the surrounding parkland and create a brand new children’s playpark. Designed in consultation with the community, it offers great health and fitness facilities, including:

- 6 lane, 25 metre swimming pool, suitable for competition swimming
- Children’s teaching pool
- Sauna and steam room
- 70 station fitness suite
- 4 court sports hall (for badminton, basketball and other sports), suitable for tournaments
- 4 outdoor 5-a-side football pitches
- 2 outdoor tennis courts
- 2 exercise / dance studios
- Café
- Consulting rooms, first aid room and full multimedia conference facility
- On-site parking for up to 170 cars
