KIRKINTILLOCH LINK ROAD - CULT BURN MAINTENANCE

6 Apr 2009

Work has started today on the Cult Burn in the area between Millersneuk Wetlands and Millersneuk Avenue. This work is part of the normal routine maintenance of the burn which has not been done for some time and is also required to facilitate construction of the new Link Road in the Millersneuk Wetlands area.

The work is expected to take approximately 2 weeks and will involve removal of vegetation and silt to restore the channel to its normal section. In accordance with normal agricultural methods the materials removed from the burn will be placed on the burn bank to dry out raising the bank level to reduce the flood risk.

Newsletter No.14 has been issued to local residents.  To view further KLR Newsletters on our website go to PROJECTS/ LINK ROAD/Documents.
