Transport Master Plan

A full Transport Assessment for the Leisure Centre has now been submitted to the Planning and Roads Services. Detailed discussions are also taking place on a range of transport issues including access to the Southbank area, parking strategies for the Southbank area, the design of the Kirkintilloch Link Road, traffic management in the Lenzie Road corridor, Park & Ride at Lenzie Station, public transport access to Woodilee and town centre access and parking strategies. Progress across this range of issues will inevitably take some time but, for the time being, the master plan approach is successfully establishing KI’s commitment to improving transport infrastructure throughout the duration of the Initiative.
