Integrated Care Centre

The aim of this project is to provide a building that care services can be delivered from and where there can be joint working between the Council’s Social Services Team and the NHS.

The proposals are progressing well and this week I attended a design team update that was being given to the Community Representatives.

It was very encouraging to see how much the Community Representatives have influenced the development of the scheme and really interesting to see the architects detailed layout beginning to emerge.

The Project Team is hoping to have a detailed proposal ready to present to the Kirkintilloch’s Initiative Board in late March with a view to getting the go ahead to progress to the detailed planning stage and preparations for an early 2007 start to construction.
