Monday 22 September to Friday 26 September - The regular progress meeting with the Scottish Arts Council took place this week. All of our activity is now focussed on the fund-raising effort and on gaining certainty on funding. The recent problems with the economy have not helped this situation. KI has various possibilities for assisting in filling the funding gap but they depend on progress with the asset disposal process. Unfortunately this process has been slowed by the uncertainties associated with the “credit crunch”. However, work continues and various avenues are being explored. I expect we will be able to reach a conclusion by the end of the year. In the meantime, an Interim Trust has been established to direct the development work and will meet for the first time shortly.
