Work continues on the acquisition of land for the construction of the Kirkintilloch Link Road. It looks likely that efforts to acquire by agreement have gone as far as is likely to be effective for most of the landowners. For the few remaining parcels of land discussions are now taking place with the Council about initiating the Compulsory Purchase Order procedures. Meetings have been arranged to discuss the extension of Park & Ride facilities at Lenzie Station with the Planning Service, Strathclyde Passenger Transport and Network Rail.Read next: Link Road
