Integrated Care Centre

Monday 28 April to Friday 2 May - The official sod-cutting ceremony for the Integrated Care Centre took place on Thursday of this week. This officially marks the beginning of the work. Some preparatory work has already been carried out and the Contractor is now in his mobilisation period. There are still some ground works to be completed before the main construction activity becomes apparent on site. The ceremony was mainly attended by people who have been involved in the development of the design of the building. Andrew Robertson, Chairman of the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and Councillor Rhondda Geekie, Leader of East Dunbartonshire Council jointly cut the symbolic sod. It is great to see this project getting started on site. We anticipate an 18 month build leading to an opening in the Autumn of 2009.
