Kirkintilloch Link Road

In anticipation of an early award of the construction contract for the Link Road a range of related issues are now being addressed. Prices are being sought for condition surveys of all of the properties which lie close to the line of the proposed road. Detailed preparations are being made for the initial meetings of the Residents Forums which are intended to keep affected residents informed and able to contact those involved with the work. Administrative arrangements are being put in place to deal with all of the financial aspects of such a large contract and final appointments of consultants are being made. Reports relating to the Side Road Orders were approved by both East Dunbartonshire Council and North Lanarkshire Council this week. All of this work anticipates final sign off on all of statutory consents and land issues within the next couple of weeks.
