Arts & Cultural Centre

The design of the Arts & Cultural Centre is progressing well. The Design Team is now getting down to dealing with the detail. Where do lifts go? How many toilets and where do they go? What kind of kitchen is required, how will the catering be organised and consequently what type of serving arrangements are required? When you really start to think about the details there are literally thousands of decisions to be made each one with the potential to impact on another part of the building or on the Business Plan or the programme. It is really becoming clear to me now why it is so important to have an experienced full time client officer who can work with the architects and the engineers to ensure that these decisions are made in a way that ensures that the end product is the best it can be within the available budget.
