Discussions continue on the sale of the land assets in the KI portfolio. Some very interesting proposals are close to being agreed between KI and potential buyers. The proposals for the EDC Social Work offices at 126 Cowgate were submitted to the Council’s Planning Service this week. These show refurbishment of the existing building and a canal-side extension for use as a pub / restaurant incorporating a facility for the public to get information about activity on the canal. There is a bit of work to do on this yet but the proposal looks like a high quality addition to the facilities available in the Town Centre.Read previous: Kirkintilloch Link Road
