The KI Communications Group met this week. This meeting was followed by a small Christmas Reception for the KI Community Representatives and Project Champions. At this time of the year I think it is important that we look back over the past year to recognise what has been achieved and look forward to what we expect to achieve in the coming year. The highlights from 2007 are noted below;

2007 Achievements
• Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre completed and opened to the public
• Site preparation works for the Kirkintilloch Link Road started
• Environmental improvement works (first phase) on the Kirkintilloch Link Road completed
• Design for Integrated Care Centre completed
• Construction of the Marina, Footbridge and Access Improvements at Southbank started
• Gallowhill Road Junction Upgrade completed
• Design Team appointed for the Arts & Cultural Centre
• KI Project Office and associated Public Display area and Day Care Centre opened
• Affordable housing at Waverley Park complete and let
