Southbank

It’s been a busy week on the Southbank issues. A planned meeting with the residents affected by the Southbank Access Road had to be postponed at short notice because the engineers responsible for producing plans were unable to meet an agreed deadline. The meeting has been postponed by one week so that meaningful updates of the plans can be available. I’ve had a number of other meetings about Southbank including a site visit where I had the opportunity to look closely at the issues raised by residents. I’ve also been involved in discussions about contractual issues and planning for the completion of the infrastructure works. This included planning for changes to the timings on the traffic lights on the Lenzie Road between Industry Street and Gallowhill Road. These changes will improve the coordination between traffic light junctions and the overall efficiency of traffic movement on the whole corridor.Read next: Southbank
