Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre

I am receiving really good news about the first few months of operation of the Leisure Centre. User numbers are exceeding initial estimates and feedback from the general public has been mostly very complimentary. There have been a couple of things which the Council has had to look at as a result of feedback. I think there is general agreement that the signing of things like toilets can be improved and there are some improvements to internal lighting being carried out. We are also having to chase the contractor to complete the external lighting. Hopefully these issues will have been addressed by the end of November. With a large project such as the Leisure Centre it is always the case that issues arise during the first few months of operational use. In this case these issues are relatively few and are being addressed by the operator.
