This has been a busy week for formal meetings. On Tuesday evening the KI Community Representatives and Project Champions Forum met. This is a group of community volunteers and EDC / NHS officers who have agreed to try to ensure community input guides the work of KI. The Forum meets quarterly. This time the agenda included a full project update, a review of the public response to having access to the KI Project Office, a discussion on the content of a planned workshop / seminar on key issues for the future of the town centre and arrangements for topic group meetings. I find the discussions at these meeting extremely helpful. The KI Executive Group also met this week. This group makes decisions on day to day management issues. This week we discussed the programme for award of the Kirkintilloch Link Road contract, the KI asset disposal programme, town centre issues and general project progress.
