Liaision with Planning Service

Our regular meetings with the Council’s Planning Service continue to take place. In addition to these meetings I have been invited to participate in a review group which is looking at how the future of Kirkintilloch Town Centre might be represented in the next update of the Local Plan. As part of this process KI has agreed to share the costs associated with producing a mathematical model capable of assessing the impacts on the operation of the local road network of various development and traffic management proposals. In my view, this type of information is important to properly assess the planning options affecting the town centre.
