Kirkintilloch Town Centre

This diary entry covers 4 weeks, one of which was a holiday week for me
I am pleased to say that East Dunbartonshire Council has now approved its Town Centre Review and associated Action Plan. Importantly this review sets out a structure for progressing the various initiatives for Kirkintilloch Town Centre. KI has been asked to work with the Kirkintilloch Town Centre Steering Group and other interested parties towards delivery of the aims and objective of the Town Centre Review. KI is very happy to be involved within this structure and will, at the request of the Council, focus on marketing of the Town Centre and extending the level of consultation and communication which takes place on Town Centre issues. One of the first tasks will be to arrange a workshop which will allow key stakeholders such as the traders and business people to record their views on a number of important issues affecting the future vitality of the town. Arrangements for this workshop will be made in close discussion with the Council, the Chamber of Commerce and the recently formed Business for Kirkintilloch Initiative.
