Kirkintilloch Town Hall
Posted on 10 Aug 2007
We had one of our regular meetings with the Kirkintilloch Town Hall Preservation Trust (THPT) this week. The Trust has made significant progress with their proposals in recent months. We now have an agreed programme for taking the project on towards funding and grant submissions and detailed business plan preparation. This allows a formal monitoring process to be put in place. The KI Board has agreed to work with the THPT provided that there is sustained progress towards bringing the Town Hall back into productive use within the town centre. This progress will be monitored by an Independent Review Panel who will produce a report once every 6 months. By doing this we will always have an up to date view on whether adequate progress is being made and whether the THPT proposals continue to be deliverable. The THPT has agreed to give a presentation to the KI Board in September outlining their proposals and progress with delivery of their proposals.Read next: Arts & Cultural Centre
