Arts & Cultural Centre

We had one of our regular meetings with the Scottish Arts Council this week. The meeting identified the key activities which need to be prioritised. We were able to report the general outcome of the selection process for the Design Team which will take our current proposals forward to the procurement stage. The selection process will be the subject of a report to the KI Executive Group on 30 August after which we will be able to announce the Architects and associated Design Team. I am looking forward to 3 September when Grant Williams joins KI to work full time on progressing the proposals for the Arts & Cultural Centre. He will have three key roles to fulfil. These are to develop the Business Plan, bring together the Arts Programme and to ensure that the building procurement process takes full account of the Business Plan and the Arts Programme.
