Transport Masterplan

A lot of discussion has taken place recently with the Council’s Transport Team about the KI transport proposals. It has been agreed that KI work on producing a mathematical model for the roads in the Lenzie Road Corridor should be extended to take in the town centre. This will allow various possible proposals in the town centre to be tested and their impact assessed. The improvements to the Lenzie Road / Gallowhill Road junction are now operational. Tidying work on the landscaping and widening the footpaths will take another couple of weeks to finish. The effect on traffic conditions seems to have been a dramatic improvement however it is the school summer holidays so we will probably have to wait until August or September to be able to asses the full impact.
