Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre

East Dunbartonshire Council decided this week to open the Leisure Centre to the public on Saturday 21 July. The opening is part of a structured programme of events which includes pre-opening visits for local school children and guided tours for local people affected by the works. A programme of free activities on 21 and 22 July will also be made available.

Improvements to road access has started with the upgrading of the Gallowhill Road junction. Further improvements to Monklands Avenue and Parkview Avenue are planned prior to the opening. There will be a full traffic management plan in place to accommodate the initial demand for access to the Centre.
