Arts & Cultural Centre

An encouraging number and quality of applications were received for the new post of Project Development Officer for the Arts & Cultural Centre. The Project Champion, a representative of the Council’s Cultural Services Team, and I went through these to decide on a shortlist for interview. We have selected 4 candidates to interview on 8 June. Each candidate has been asked to prepare a 15 minute presentation and will be asked to respond to 4 or 5 set questions. This appointment will mark a watershed in the programme for delivery of the Arts & Cultural Centre. The dedication of this resource along with the appointment of the Design Team (which is programmed for late summer) will give the project the momentum it requires to progress through the planning, design and contract procurement stages.
