Kirkintilloch Link Road
Posted on 27 Apr 2007
Regular meetings continue to be held with a number of Council departments. These meetings are seeking to achieve sign-off on the pre-start conditions for the Link Road. In addition to the Planning Service a project of this size impacts on many other departments of the Council, all of whom have to be satisfied with the final proposals. These include the Roads Service (in relation to the detailed design of the roads and structures, the drainage proposals, the traffic and transport impacts and footpath arrangements), the Greenspace Team (in respect of the landscaping proposals and impact on trees) and the Protective Services Team (in respect of noise impacts, pollution and treatment of contaminated land). To ensure all these discussions are properly progressed and reported centrally a tracking system has been established and forms the agenda for regular meetings with senior management within the Planning Service.Read next: Kirkintilloch Link Road
