Leisure Centre

I was on holiday last week so this diary entry covers a 2 week period.
The operator of the Leisure Centre now has full control of the building and is taking forward the internal fit out work and recruiting and training staff.

KI will still be responsible for taking forward junction improvements to manage traffic flow to the centre once it’s opened to the public and to cope with a higher than average number of visitors in the first few weeks. The widening of Gallowhill road junction has started. Proposals for widening the Monklands Avenue junction and Parkview Avenue and putting in additional parking are currently being designed and priced by the contractor.

Further consultation with local residents will take place immediately prior to the Centre opening so that they are aware of the plans which have been put in place to manage traffic.
