Kirkintilloch Link Road

The Design Team continues to work hard on the delivery of the Link Road. This week saw the issue of the final stage of the tender to prospective contractors. I have also had extensive discussions with various parties regarding the funding arrangements for the road. All of the work being carried out is regularly discussed in detail with the Council’s Planning Service. This week we had a full review meeting where all outstanding issues were discussed and a programme for addressing these issues was agreed. On Wednesday of this week I attended a meeting of the Lenzie Community Council to present the Kirkintilloch Link Road proposals and to answer any questions Community Council members had about the road.
