Leisure Centre

Although it may appear that the Leisure Centre is almost complete there is still a lot of work going on both at the site and in the design offices. The contractor has moved inside to work on the finishes and the general fit out. When this work is complete they will gradually progress to the car parking and hard landscaping work externally. Discussions are also continuing with the Planning Service about the details of the landscaping works, the layout of the paths and cycleways and final details for the road access improvements. The operator, East Dunbartonshire Council, is preparing a programme for installation of equipment, fit out of operational areas and the recruitment and training of staff. All of these works will need to be approved and completed before the Centre can open to the public.
