Kirkintilloch Link Road

Preparatory work associated with the Kirkintilloch Link Road remains the focus of the Core Management Team’s work at the moment. Detailed discussions are taking place on issues related to the design, contract procurement, mitigation measures and land acquisition. Regular communication with the Design Team is taking place to ensure that the milestones in the established programme are met. This week I met with a number of residents who are directly affected by the proposals. We discussed landscaping and other measures to minimise the impact of the road on their property. KI has also prepared and committed to design changes which assist those residents who are most directly affected by the road proposals.
