Kirkintilloch Link Road

Discussions with the Council’s Planning Service on the detail of the Kirkintilloch Link Road planning application continue to take up a significant amount of time. All of the plans submitted to the Planning Service will also be available on the Council’s web site and the KI web site (k-eye.co.uk).
The potential impact of the proposals on local wildlife habitats and biodiversity is a major area of discussion, with Scottish Natural Heritage being heavily involved. The proposals include a wide range of mitigation measures aimed at ensuring the effect on the local environment is positive.
I’m now gathering specific information requested by local residents and will be attending various evening meetings over the next few weeks to explain the plans and answer questions from representative groups with a direct interest.
