Integrated Care Centre

The preferred contractor for the Integrated Health and Social Care Centre was introduced to the design team this week. This is a significant step towards getting started on site. The tender process is now complete and final negotiations on the details are underway. A number of matters relating to the planning application still need to be resolved, including a range of transport impact issues. These are being addressed in parallel with final negotiations with the preferred contractor. This allows the design work to progress to the point where work can start on site as soon as the planning issues are resolved. At the moment it looks like it may be possible to make a start on site in February / March 2007.
